SIMULTANEOUS MOTOR CONTROL ADDED

Connects to the PC serial port and provides an easy to use interface for connecting and controlling stepper motors by your PC. You can multidrop up to 4 interface cards off the 1 RS232 serial line so you can control up to a total of 16 stepper motors.

You simply write ascii commands through the PC's serial port to the card to control each of the stepper motors. A free PC program (source code in VB is included) is provided so that you can execute a number of commands and repeat the process

Examples of the commands are

    @01 AMOV 1000 2000 n 4000  do an absolute move of stepper 1,2 and 4 to positions 1000, 2000 and 4000
    @01 AMOV 2000  do an absolute move of stepper 1 to position 2000
    @02 RMOV -400  do a relative move of stepper 2 400 steps backwards
    @03 POSN 10000   indicate stepper 3 is at position 1000
    @04 STOP  stop stepper 4
    @01 STAT   card sends the status of motors 1 to 4 whether they are moving or not and status of limit switches.

Positions can be between -99999999 and 99999999 steps. The user can also set the acceleration and deceleration rates when starting and ending a sequence of steps. Limit switch inputs are available for each of the motors to prevent motors moving out of range.

Programmable Stepper Motor Controller
 
Programmable Stepper Motor Controller
Based on the Serial Stepper Motor Controller, the introduction of a more powerful microcontroller has allowed us to produce a standalone 4 axis stepper motor controller which can be programmed via a PC using supplied software. Alternatively the card can be controlled via a PLC to free the PLC from complex stepper motor control routines. Up to 4 cards can be controlled from a PLC using the Modbus protocol.

Up to 120 instructions can be programmed into the controller for 1 motor, 80 instructions for 2, 60 instructions for 3 and 50 instructions for 4 motors. Instructions are saved in EEPROM and are retained through power loss. Just program once and then let it go.

Ideal for repetitive process tasks involving stepper motors, the unit provides 8 digital outputs which can be used as the direction and step signals. The outputs can also be used as general purpose digital outputs when not being used for motor control and the 4 digital inputs can be used for limit switches or program control.

KTA-195 Hi Current DC Motor PWM Speed Controller
This DC motor controller uses PWM Pulse Width Modulation to control the speed of a DC motor. A potentiometer can be used to set the speed or a 0 to 5VDC or 4-20mA signal can be supplied.
With this kit you can control the speed of a common DC motor rated up to 55V (20A) without sacrificing motor torque.  Operates on a supply voltage of 8V to 26V.

Is a new replacement card for the old KT5158 or K158 card. The new card features
 - a double sided PCB (more reliable and no links to solder).
 - screw Terminals for all inputs, power connections and motor connections.
 - Full and Half Step (less resonance problems) operation and microstepping of 4,8,16,32,64 and 128 operation

We tested the KT5196 against a K158 and found an increase of 33% in stepping rate performance. The KT5196 is able to drive 4 wire (and 6 or 8 wire) bipolar stepper motors at up to 8 amps 
Please note there is not inbuilt current limiting for the coil currents

Is a combination of our popular KT5190 Serial Stepper Controller and the KT-5196 Bipolar Stepper Motor Driver.
You simply write ascii commands through the PC's serial port to the card to control each of the stepper motors

Dual Bidirectional DC Motor Speed Controller
This Motor Speed Controller allows a user to control the speed of up to two DC Motors independently, using an analog 0-5V signal, potentiometers, serial port of a PC or 1-2mS RC Pulse.
Modes of Operation:
The KT-5198 can be operated in serial, analog or pulse mode. In analog and pulse modes each motor can be operated in unidirectional mode with the 0-5V analog input (or 1-2mS pulse) giving 0-100% PWM and a digital input for direction selection, or in bidirectional mode where the analog or pulse input is responsible for both direction and speed selection.
In bidirectional mode 2.5V (or 1.5mS pulse) will give 0% PWM duty, increasing voltage from 2.5V to 5V (or pulses from 1.5 to 2mS) will increase the PWM duty from 0-100% and turn the motor in one direction. Decreasing the voltage from 2.5V to 0V (or pulses from 1.5 to 1mS) will increase the PWM duty from 0-100% and turn the motor in the other direction.

The PWM frequency can be set by a serially command to 10KHz, 1.25KHz and 156Hz
The maximum voltage available to run the motor is 50VDC.
Current: The IRFZ44 MOSFET can handle 49A; the IRF4905 can handle 74A. However the PCB tracks that run from the MOSFET pins to the screw terminal block can only handle around 10A. When running the motor check the temperature of the MOSFETs to see if heatsinks are required.

RC Servo Motor Controller
The Ocean Controls RC Servo Motor Controller will control up to 8 servo motors. 4 of the servo motors are controlled by ASCII RS232 serial commands. This can be increased to 8 by the configuration  command WRCF.
The form of the serial command is @xx WRSP yyy where xx is the address of the motor and yyy is the position which can vary between 0 and 200.

The other 4 servo motors are controlled by the position of a switch. A switch is connected between the Lx and COM inputs. The user then writes a series of commands to the controller to tell what positions the motor is to move to when the switch is in the OPEN and CLOSED states. The user can also set the rate of movement between the OPEN and CLOSED positions. These variables are automatically saved in EEPROM so that they will not be lost on loss of power.
