Q1: I turned the distance potentiometer but it seems to not change the detection range, Why does it seems to not be changing?

A1: The user manual states that you need to turn the potentiometer counter clockwise to lessen the range and clockwise to increase the distance detection of the sensor, however you will need to rotate the potentiometer multiple times to get the desired range.  Keep turning the distance potentiometer until you get your desired range.  I recommend setting up the distance for your sensor and turning the potentiometer until it starts/or stops to trigger the sound at that range.
